TTC after miscarrige - advise please

Sep 12th, 2015, 16:44 PM   #1

Hello ladies

I sadly got told on 1st sept at my 12 week scan (I was 11+3) that my baby's heart stopped at 10 weeks + 3. I had medical managment at the hospital yesterday and all I can think about is being preganant again.

I feel bad having these thoughts but as I got told over a week ago in my head I dealt with it, going through the experience yesterday was painful but it gave me closure.

I asked the nurse yesterday if there was any medical reason not to try again and she said no but they just usually advice to wait one cycle. She also said that you should be emotionally ready (which I feel I am).

Do any of you have any thoughts on this or your own experiences you could share with me ?

Thanks ️xxx

I am one of these ladies!

Hope u are ok. I'd say start trying as soon as ur able. As soon as I stopped bleeding we started trying again. It took us 2 cycles and I feel blessed every minute of this pregnancy.

Lots of love and stay strong, onwards and upwards and get back on the horse (u know what I mean lol)

Wishing u all the best x

Thank you for your quick reply it means a lot to me.

So happy to hear you had a lovely boy, I love the name Oisin!

I just think if it's not meant to be I won't get pregnant, so I think I'll just leave my body to decide and go for it! ️Xxxx

Hi, I had mm at 14 weeks a few years ago. All I wanted was to be preg again but it had been a suprise pregnancy so that wasn't possible. I had another m/c last year and I ttc straight after! I had the m/c , had a bleed two weeks later as I had short cycles and then that cycle was straight trying soy iso to ttc again. Defo don't feel bad, is totally normal!
Really hope you get your bfp soon you are defo strong xxx

So sorry for your loss hun.

I miscarried last Tuesday but knew 11 days before hand that my pregnancy wasn't viable, so was just waiting for the inevitable.

I had a scan yesterday and there is an area in my uterus that still looks thickened, so they want to rescan me in two weeks to make sure my body has passed everything. If not I'll be booked in for a procedure to remove it.

All I can think about is getting pregnant again. It is overpowering. I'm gutted to have lost my lil bug but as soon as possible, I will be ttc again.

I was so annoyed on Friday when they said they wanted to scan me again, as it's another two weeks that we have to wait to get the all clear. I'm praying that next scan shows I've passed everything.

I've heard that you can be more fertile after a mc and women who fall pregnant within 6 months after a loss are less likely to mc.

Wishing you all the best with your journey hun.

XX

It really is unfortunately, but no one ever talks about it as it like this taboo subject. But once you open up you realise that your not the only one. It is a cruel thing to go through but the support I got from pf was amazing. Wishing you lots of luck. xx

Hi hun,

I had a heterotopic pregnancy in January (twin ectopic) one was in my left Fallopian tube & the other in my womb, I had to have surgery to remove my tube & the baby on 28/01 but then sadly miscarried the second twin 6 days later.. Losing your baby is horrific but I fell pregnant again with this baby 28/02 to our surprise. I fell pregnant after I had been crying to my other half about how much I wanted a baby & well he gave me the good loving..

Miracles do happen & rainbows ALWAYS appear when it's finished raining xx

Emily0505 so sorry to hear what your going through, it's awful having to wait you just want it all sorted so you can grieve and move on, waiting a week and a bit for me was unbearable I didn't know what to do with myself! The nurse said that everything had gone but i thought Id be offered a re-scan )I guess not. I've read that you should do a pregnancy test in a few weeks to see if your levels are back to normal (don't know if that's true and Id find that upsetting if it was positive. Yea I've heard your more fertile to so fingers crossed for us both ️xx good luck on your journey to I wish you all the best xxxx

Wishinghoping thankyou for sharing your story with me and so sorry to hear about your loss, that must have been awful for you having to go through the heartbreak twice congratulation on your pregnancy, I love the name Rocky and wish you all the best with your pregnancu what a wonderful christmas present !!

I love your quote that made me smil ☺️☺️

I am loving this forum! Everybody is so lovely hope your all having a good evening xxx
