Crying with pain!

Feb 13th, 2014, 14:36 PM   #1

I feel a bit stupid but I have extreme pressure down below. It's so painful to lift legs, turn in
bed, walk, ANYTHING! I'm currently in the bath after taking two paracetamol but nothing is working. I also have period and back pain but it's not so bad compared to this agony!
I'm 39 +3 weeks btw.
Is this a sign of labour? I was 2/5ths palpable 2 weeks ago.

Possibly yea! I thought that's how labour started - not necessarily waters breaking and contractions etc

Try bounce on your ball of you have one and your doing the right thing with paracetamol and a warm bath

Fingers crossed x

it could be labour but ive had pressure like that for weeks mixed with cramping and lower back pain and the hospital say its just the pressure of the baby. the pressure is especially bad when walking/moving to the point i cant go out anywhere on my own anymore.

i find sitting on my ball helps though.

hopefully it is labour though.

Usually I would be praying it is labour but my dad is away on a course until Friday night in Swindon. We live in fife, Scotland so he is ages away! This is a first grandchild for him and my mum so I was dying for him to be there. Will break my heart if he's away

yesterday i had a consultant appointment as=nd they gave me a scan - i wasnt booked for one... when i asked why they said i was suppsoed to have a scan but didnt arange one as my consultant thought i may have delivered by now! lol

my parents wont see baby until its home. i love them both and were very close but they can see baby when its home, unless im in for a good few days in which case my mum will likely pop in at some point. but i wouldnt want them anywhere near the labour.

I had all those pains a few weeks ago for about a week. Midwife was convinced it was the start of labour and didn't even bother booking me a 38 week apt! Could be the start of labour, but could also be false labour.

Sounds like the pains I've been having but the baby dropping has caused my pgp to get worse! I'm most comfortable on my ball followed by lying on my bed. Thankfully hubby has ordered me to rest & not to do too much so it's started to ease otherwise I'd be in agony!

Fingers crossed yours is a sign of labour anyways...and if it is, good luck! xx

Hard to tell really. I get most of those symptoms at night. Last night i was in agony with it. I was convincing myself it would happen in the night.. but to be honest I've had this on and off for quite a whlie now really.

My legs in particular can be really bad. They actually feel awful today too which is a new feature.

I recommend a lovely warm bath. Makes my legs feel a bit nicer

Hope you feel better soon. It's not fun when the pain makes you cry. I remember actually crying because i couldn't poop and it was agonising. My bf must have secretly found that well funny. (that was in the first 3months)
