Had my 32 week scan yesterday and....

He's bloody 4lb 8oz already!!

So half a lb a week for the next 8 weeks means I'm gonna have a nearly 9lb bruiser!!

Help!!

Very pleased all is well though and he's healthy and strong, I've been eating a healthy diet for the last 4 weeks too, cutting out all fatty sugary foods but I've been eating wholesome foods so I think it's had the opposite effect!

xx

Don't worry....my daughter was 9lb exactly (was told at 36+6 growth scan she was 6lb 2oz) I had her no problem with zero pain relief - born in water.

just don't stock up on too much newborn size stuff, as she barely fitted in it - I only had one sleepsuit with me that fitted in hospital! lol

The only thing I'd say is, sometimes these scans are inaccurate.
A friend of mine and I had our 32 week scans, I was told baby was 3lb 10 and would be fairly small, she was told hers was 4lb 12 and would be big. My baby was born at 38+3 and weighed 6lb 7, hers was born at 41+6 and weighed 6lb 8! So actually if we'd both had our babies at 40 weeks mine would have weighed more than hers! x

Ooh thanks for that Hun, I hope that happens a bit, although I knew before he was big as I can feel him size wise and he's heavy on my organs too!

They're not that accurate tbh. We had a growth scan at 36 weeks & got told she was 6lb 5oz..

she only weighed 6lb 2oz when she arrived 2 weeks later xx

Using tapatalk so excuse the typos!

Eeeek! I might be sent for a growth scan too - was measuring 29cm at 28 weeks and now I'm 33cm at 31 weeks. Getting measured again on Weds and if it's still going up more than it should be I'll be off to hospital! Hopefully the others are right and they're not that accurate - 9lb's a whopper!!!!!! xxx

I found the scans pretty accurate, 6 days before he was born his estimated weight was 6lb12 and he was 7lbs when born (at 36+6) at 31 weeks he estimated in at 4lbs2oz.
Your pregnancy is jogging on rightly x
