Hi,
Just wondered what/if there is a risk if you eat spicy food in the 2nd tri?
I fancied a chilli so have made some for tea and am now feeling a bit apprehensive! Am I right that its not recommended as may cause contractions?
Its just a vege chilli with a couple of teaspoons of minced red chilli, not massively spicy but you can taste them. It will be such a shame as really fancied it and though it might help shift my cold too!

The only reason people say spicy food is a no no during pregnancy is because of heartburn. I'm find eating spicy earlier in the day, but I can't eat anything too spicy for tea as I get heartburn.

Glad you enjoyed it!
