Winding premature baby

Apr 15th, 2015, 12:54 PM   #1
My twins were born at 32+4 and will be 4 weeks old on Friday. One twin is a nightmare to wind and was wondering what is the best thing to give him. X

Infacol. Or: sit baby on your knee like you do when you're going to wind them, put your hand under their chin and armpit to support their wee head then rotate body (hips up) in circular motion clockwise. I've had two premmie babies both vey difficult to give wind then the neonatal nurse showed me this way and it's great failing that, a nice warm bath and some tummy massaging
Good luck.

I also find trying to wind, if nothing's coming up, lie them down fir 10 secs then slowly up again and wind, usually works
