Progesterone after ovulation

Oct 11th, 2015, 17:56 PM   #1

Hi Ladies, this is my first month taking progesterone after ovulation. I'm used to progesterone from having the contraceptive implant so assumed that the symptoms I normally get before af (which are obiously PMS as I have never had a BFP) I wouldn't have this month! However, whereas I normally get really sore boobs in the 2ww, this month it is mainly my right boob and is more of a stabbing pain than the usual soreness!

So, to finally get around to my question, did anyone take progesterone following ovulation? Did you do this for months which ended in a BFN and a BFP and were the symptoms in the 2ww different? So basically, are my different symptoms now probably down to the progesterone or could they possibly be due to pregnancy?

A long way round to ask a pretty pointless question but if anyone could share any experience of progesterone followed by a BFP I would really appreciate it
Thank you xx

I can't answer your progesterone question as I just don't know but I'm having same both boobs have stabbing pains but more on the right side, it's so uncomfortable today that I haven't got a bra on.

I don't tend to have sore boobs at all really but my nipples ache like mad and these stabbing pains hurt a lot.

I'm also smelling things strongly I'm having to open fridge door with nose covered and my fridge is clean lol

Also feeding dog his food made me sick.

I felt more pregnant last month though when I got a bfn so trying not to read too much into it x

I didn't take the progesterone but my bfp month I had achey boobs at the sides a bit, but then shooting pains in just my right boob, more in the nipple area! Bloody killed but only lasted a few secs...hope it's a good sign for you every bfn cycle I had I found that I had this one thing every time (so when it came I knew I was out for sure) which was a pain right behind my bellybutton. The bfp month I didn't, so a change can be good XXX

Read the leaflet in with the progeterone applicators last night and it says that sore boobs are a side effect! Really need to stop overthinking things xx
