Implant = constant period!

Apr 20th, 2017, 22:15 PM   #1

My daughter was born at end of December. My period started up around 6 weeks later, and my implant was fitted 1 week after that.

And I've had my period ever since!!
It's almost May!

I'm soooo tired :/

It would almost be ok if it was light but every 2nd week is 7 solid days of really heavy, can't get out of bed, ridiculously painful cramp, period.
Have hardly taken baby a walk this lady couple of weeks. Feel bad that she is stuck in the house with me

Had anyone else experienced this?
I'm not sure if this is normal after childbirth or if it's just me.

I had the implant when I was younger, and it did the same to me. For 3-4 months I was bleeding constant but not heavily. I had to have it removed. I guess some things aren't for everyone. X

You need to go see a gp or even be referred to a gyno. You're at high risk of being anaemic and you can get medication to get it sorted out and stop the bleeding. Don't keep walking around with this x
