"Hello" & What a day!

Aug 4th, 2014, 16:50 PM   #1
Hi There,
I'm hoping that those who read this are doing well, and having a good day. This is my first time posting on a pregnancy/parenting forum and after the day I had, I really do think that I need lots of family support (which I am getting) as-well as some mummy friends!

My little boy was born today, 4th August (We are yet to decide on a name as we did not think it would happen so quick, his gestation was 36 weeks and 1 day, (somewhat of a shock, as we expected at least another week!) He is now in our nearest children's hospital awaiting his first 'proper' review, so we are very very anxious (so I decided to come and join a forum to share our journey, although right now I think it could just end up with me saying how tired we are and lots of doctor updates!) as to what the news is about to bring but we are keeping everything crossed that it is all going to be okay.
He was a natural vaginal delivery, which almost happened in the car but thank goodness he stayed in for another few contractions before entering the world at a very small and sweet 3lb 3.

I'm now off to go and have another check on my bleeding, which thankfully is not to bad and no sign of a post bleed, thank-goodness. I'm hoping that I can share my journey here with some of you ladies, and begin to make some mummy friends! (1st time mum here!)

Look forward to hearing from you (If any of you respond) I thank you in advance.
