an employer cannot terminate your employment without having had it formally from you... end of. Your boss must be a right clown to thing he can get away with this!

Its payday on friday and normally i get my wage slip posted to me on a wednesday well today i got my P45!
Going to ring head office tomorrow to see whats going on.

Tbh I would take them to the cleaners. You won't be able to work there even if they reinstate you. Call ACAS for advice
