Hey

I am having some symptoms like being gassy and bloated, sore heads, a wee bit of nausea the last few days but apart from that I feel ok and I was expecting to feel more sick as I was very sick with the other kids from early on.
What about you?
Xx

I don't know if I'm having symptoms... I have been having little waves of nausea and brushing my teeth this morning made me gag a lot, even after I was done. But it's hard to tell if that's psychosomatic or due to anxiety more than pregnancy hormones. This feels like deja vu, and I keep imagining going to the bathroom and seeing spotting/bleeding. I just pray that does not happen and this baby is ok.

I also am having round ligament pain, which actually was what made me pretty convinced I was pregnant again... a couple nights ago I sneezed and felt that intense sharp stabbing pain and was like, oh man...

The weirdest symptom was this twitching in my abdominal muscles, like when you get eye twitches... but in my muscles, not my uterus or anything. So strange and random, for all I know it could've been unrelated, but I did find threads of other ladies who experienced the same thing!

Aaah, only 4 weeks... I know the time will drag, and I don't want to spend the next two months in sheer panic. I want to send this little being as much peace and love as I possibly can for as long as (s)he decides to stay with me.

Ugh I am just so scared. Only 4+1 and constantly checking for blood. I just pray I don’t get any bleeding and all is well.

Lynsey, how are you today?

Hi Katie

I had a dream last night that I woke up and went to toilet and there was blood on wiping I almost believed it when I woke up and now I keep checking.
I called the midwife's today and I'm booked in for an appointment at 8 weeks and 12 weeks. Feels a bit more real now. I've also booked a scan for 30th June so that will hopefully be reassuring. Have you thought about getting an early scan to reassure you it's all progressing as it should?
My nausea comes at night starts around dinner time and I can't really eat much from then. Now I'm feeling so thirsty and also peeing loads. Xx

I want a scan at 10/11ish weeks, not before... I know myself and I will need to see a big, more developed baby to be reassured... in the meantime I’m getting blood drawn tomorrow or Thursday to track my HCG levels. A big part of me doesn’t want to, I don’t even want to know the numbers and have another reason to panic. Honestly I was doing ok today before that phone call. Obviously the call and the blood test themselves don’t change anything, but it’s like... I just don’t even want to know.

Lynsey those dreams are AWFUL, I had them occasionally with previous pregnancies and they are just the worst.

Lynsey, how are you today? I am tired and irritable, but overall ok.

I remember my mom (who just turned 67) saying that one thing she’s learned in her life is never to wish time away, no matter how much you don’t want to be experiencing something or how excited you are for something. So even though I’m 4+2 and would do anything to fast forward to, say, 16+2 or 22 weeks or some time more secure, I’m trying to heed her words and immerse myself in the moment as much as I can.

I am making a midwife appointment for next week, just as a meet and greet kind of thing. I hope I’m still pregnant this time next week...

Hi Katie

Wow I needed you read that today. Your mum is so right on that one. I am guilty in thinking I wish it would hurry up and be past the first trimester or I wish my holiday would hurry up etc I do it alot. I need to practice mindfulness more often and really be in this moment.

I'm feeling a wee bit of nausea and I've also had quite a bit of pain in my abdomen today but it passed after an hour or so.

It was so hot here today and that didn't help through nausea. Where abouts are u based? I'm in Scotland xxx

Lynsey yes, we all do it— even my sweet mama! She just says that now she truly sees how fast time goes by, so anything that makes time slow down (early pregnancy or, for that matter, the end of pregnancy!) is actually a good thing.

I live in Oregon in the USA. It is super gray and cold today but overall warming up- thank goodness!

I am having tons of pulling cramps, some very intense. Happens every time, but it seems to get more significant/uncomfortable with each pregnancy. They are definitely more noticeable than they were with my last pregnancy (the one that ended in miscarriage) so I really, really hope that’s a good sign.
