Pregnacare vitamins

Nov 16th, 2013, 10:05 AM   #1

Hi

Is it safe to take these all through?

Girlfriend showed her doc yesterday, she said okay from week 12 and until then just folic?

Any reasons why, any experience on here?

Thanks

I have taken them from about 4 weeks when i found out i was pregnant and will continue to take them til the end. It also says on the box suitable throughout pregnancy. I told my midwife and she seemed pleased i was taking them, and told me to continue.

Yeah I've been taking these for about a year before I even fell pregnant and have continued to take them. Told my doctor and she said good. I don't know what the problem could be with them as packaging does say they're for all throughout pregnancy xxx

Yup been taking since 3 weeks pregnant.
Also my best friend continued them after her miscarriage with her last baby and is still taking them 7 months in to her current pregnancy with no break.

It's just vitamins - can't hurt hehe

I took them all the way through my pregnancy. They say that you only need to take folic acid for first 12 weeks but you can continue throughout. The same with the pregnacare most people eat well and get all the vitamins they need through their diet but by taking the pregnacare you ensure you are x

The most important thing is the folic acid... but as pregnacare has the folic acid and all the recommended vitamins that's why they suggest taking that x

i took pregnacare plus then switched to boots as it was cheaper and had ginger in that helped me too... after 12 weeks i just cintinnued as MW said that theyd do me some good.

you should have folic acid and vidD for 12 weeks and continnue vitd thuroughout but pregnacare has them all so any pregnancy multivitamin is good - all the same stuff lol

I took high dose FA until dating scan confirmed all was OK and then Pregnacare.

I had to be prescribed high dose FA but I had suffered 3 miscarriages...

I have taken these and folic acid throughout ttc and will continue with vits throughout pregnancy. Box advises fine for all of pregnancy and they are usually so over cautious on things like that that I figure they'll be fine.

I took pregnacare from the beginning, and it made my morning sickness waaaay worse. It's fine to take though because it already contains frolic acid. If she's not taking the pregnancy re make sure she's still taking the frolic acid tablets.
