BFP right before IVF starts - anyone else?

Apr 4th, 2017, 15:00 PM   #1

Hi ladies, so I've been at the ready to make the call to my IVF clinic to let them know it's day one and get my schedule for treatment. Normal wk before AF spotting comes, lasts about 3 days, nothing out of the ordinary I always get it, then it disappears, AF never makes an appearance and this morning I get my BFP! I'm in total shock. It's 3 years, 1 MC, and various issues with an IVF clinic in the making so totally out of the blue... has anyone else had this just before IVF?

I don't know if I dare to be excited as I'm worried it will end badly like the last MC (which was 16 months ago). But at the same time...could this finally be our time?!

I've been on the LTTTC thread for a while now and daren't post on there as some of those poor ladies are really going through it. I'm sure my miracle story will just p*** them all off! (having been in that position myself for some time now!) x

I just cant believe it - I desperately need this one to stick! Anyone got any tips on preventing MC? I'm eating well, no crazy exercise and have been doing this thing for so long I cant remember the last time I had a proper drink...but anything else anyone can suggest?

That's wonderful news. Congrats x

There are no precautions apart from what you're doing, obv check the foods you can't eat, take folic acid (or pregnancy vitamins) and just enjoy each moment I have everything crossed for you for a sticky little one xx

Congratulations! Unfortunately there's nothing you can do to prevent a miscarriage but look after yourself and take your vitamins. Fx this is your time xx

Ladies, thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Firstly, most of you that have replied are ladies I've been chatting to from the LTTTC group so I'm am truly sorry to be 'that person' - I genuinely didn't think you would have seen this as before now I have never been anywhere on this site other than on the LTTTC feeds. The fact that you are congratulating me is incredible...so thank you. Really x

Tinselcat, I'm so so sorry to hear about your IVF round. There is literally nothing I can say that will make you feel better as anything I do say right now you will likely think 'easy for you to say' so all I can do is have everything crossed for your next round.

xMillie, Mrs Law, Lisey - same goes for you girls, didn't expect to see you on here, you are so sweet. It takes a lot and I know that.

I'm not going to post anything else. But I will keep updated with all of your progress and have all of you in my thoughts xxx

I was a ltttcer for many many years and I was always happy for my fellow long termers when they got a bfp. If anything it gives hope that even after a long and hard struggle, it can happen xx

Wow congrats!
I really hope this is your time.
The best thing you can do, is be happy and healthy and don't put your body through any sudden changes in diet or routine. Try not to get stressed.

Good luck!
