Post baby (or not) weight loss thread

Jul 7th, 2017, 20:57 PM   #1

Hi ladies,

I'm not almost 8 weeks postpartum and really need to get on losing weight. I'm at the heaviest I've ever been and need to do something about it! I've been swimming tonight and feel like I've had a good work out and hubby is going to fix my bike for me tomorrow. I downloaded myfitness pal so am going to get back on it dmwith the food too!

Anyone want to join in and offer each other motivation/support? Everyone welcome, even if not trying to lose baby weight!

It's really hard isn't it. I think my problem is that I never got back to my norm after my first daughter. I really want to get in shape though but putting on weight seems so much easier as I get older

Do you do any exercise/ eat well? We cook from scratch but my problem is snacking... And probably portion size

Can I join, mine isn't so much post baby weight (my son is 9 on Sunday) more post wedding.

I got down to my lowest weight a few years before we got married... but just before we got engaged I started putting on a few lbs... didn't lose them and gained a couple more before the wedding and then after the wedding before I knew it I had gained over 2 stone :o

I have lost a stone but want to lose another stone and 3lbs to get back to the weight I was happiest at. I need to do this as I not only have all the lovely clothes I used to wear sat waiting for me, whenever I have ordered clothes online I have been silly and ordered my smallest size... so I also have a whole new wardrobe of clothes that don't fit.

Been maintaining for the past few months, so hopefully having a bit of support will help push me to start losing again.

Donna, that's great that you've lost a stone already! How have you done it? Having loads of lovely new clothes is good motivation I think but having support from people that are doing it too is the best. We can do it!

I think I have 2 stone to lose as my first target then will reassess.

It was all going so well and then I had half a bottle of wine and a kitkat chunky last night! Definitely on it today.
