what to wear in bed

Apr 22nd, 2011, 20:53 PM   #1

I was just wondering what everyone has their little ones wearing in bed in this warmer-than-usual weather? I get so paranoid he's going to get too hot!

Omg me too, he's just gone in own room do it's even worse I'm forever checking he's not too warm! My LO is a warm baby so he just has a long sleeved vest and a thing sleep bag/grow bag! I put long sleeved vest on so his arms don't get cold, then when we go bed I just put a thin sheet over top as it usually gets colder in night xx

Zacs room has been between 22-24 degrees all night, so I put him in either just a vest and 1 tog sleeping bag, or just his pjs (no vest) and a 1 tog sleeping bag. If it gets any hotter, I will put him in a vest and pjs with no sleeping bag, he always seems really warm xxx

I'm still with a vest and babygro, just a normal one not fleecy, I have switched his blankets to the holey ones rather than fleece/quilt x

Im at my parents and their house is stone so its always more cold than ours. So hes just in normal PJs, sleeping bag and blanket. But we got one of those monitors with a temp setting that you can set to alarm if it goes high or low and I can go and take a layer off. Seriously, angelcare are pretty much parenting for me

Ours is in a vest and baby gro. He has a blanket, but never keeps it on basically just no blankets!
Were in london tho so we have the rank London no air heat lol. Also we have a black out blind on the window which really attracts the heat to this room! X

we are in scotland so even though it has been 22 - 24 in the day it still drops to 12 - 14 at night so Ellie is still in her vest sleepsuit and sleepbag and a wee blanket the one night that I just had her in a vest and sleepbag she kept wakening up x

Thanks ladies, I did end up just putting a blanket over him last night instead of putting him in a sleeping bag, he was restless until around 11, which is when I took the grobag off and he must have been a but warm
beforehand as he didn't wake up til 5 after that!

I usually have ella in vest, pjs and gro bag (recently changed to 1tog) but her room has been so hot - 24 degrees all night the other night. I tried her just in a vest but she would not settle without her gro bag, I think she likes the resistance on her legs! Anyway I got almost no sleep that night and she wouldn't settle the next night til I figured it out! I ended up having her in her gro bag with just a nappy on and she slept through! Last night was a bit cooler so she had gro bag and vest. She's teething at the moment too which isn't helping!

Cahal won't settle without his grobag either, I think the routine of putting it on is more important to him getting ready for sleep than I thought! the other night it was so warm I had to get him to sleep with it on then sneak back 10 minutes later to take it off again!
