Toy for 16month old.

Sep 30th, 2014, 17:23 PM   #1

I get married this December and I'm putting together packs for the children attending, I've sorted the 3/4 year olds out and the 6-8mth olds (one being my little boy), but I've got my cousins little girls coming who will be 16mths old, will they draw if I get them some thick grip crayons and a doodle pad? I was also going to get a little toy but not sure what sort of thing, don't want to get them something too babyish.
Going to include bubbles, but any other ideas for the 16mth olds would be greatly appreciated.

My girl wasn't drawing at 16 m and certainly even if she did that wouldn't hold her attention that long I think?
From what I recall at 16 m she was playing with musical toys, duplo and megablocks, little farm animals, loads of flap books, pull along toys, little peg puzzles etc.
But I suppose every baby is different so you can't really know.

Thanks for the reply, I will look at flap books and little animal toys as they won't be too noisy during the meal!

Bubbles are an amazing weapon!!! neither of my 2 were drawing either. My daughter at that age loved bags and putting things in and taking them out - for literally full days! Filling and emptying! My boy loved cars and nothing else - and still does!

Yes, handbags were popular in our house too, and toy phones and keys.

Bubbles are always a winner...until they spill!
