Pram replacement mattress fit advice

Sep 27th, 2014, 21:04 PM   #1

I've bought a replacement mattress for my Silver Cross Sleepover Elegance pram which I picked up second hand. As advised with not using second hand mattresses I've bought one claimed to fit this pram with a flap section on the top so that when baby gets bigger we can sit him up. The mattress seems to raise a little at the head end due to the fold and also because I think it's a little too big perhaps. It's quite flat but does raise slightly and probably with adding baby weight to the middle it may make it worse. Anyone got any advice on whether you think it will be ok or not for newborn?

I've attached some pictures so you can see what I mean.

I think it's just designed to have an incline to be honest. Laying baby will probably flatten it out a bit I would've thought.

As wifey says it's worth having something with an incline in case of a refluxy baby. Even now my son hates being laid flat and we have his mattress on an incline.
