Pram help!!

Feb 5th, 2013, 23:52 PM   #1

Never bought a pram from new so scary stuff! I need a supportive seat for Layla who has weak core muscles among other problems she will be almost two when peanut arrives, we had a old fashion silver cross pram which was amazing for her but need a double which is similar style, never new what a mine field it was! I also want a carry cot for peanut. Found this pram tonight looks ideal and can send it back if no good, just wonder what people thought thank you

Hey hun!

Depending on what you want to spend we've gone for the Baby Jogger City Select for our 2. It's a tandem double buggy so one seat in front of the other meaning it's nice and slim. It also converts easily into a single buggy if your just taking 1 child out or Layla's walking along side you etc

Not sure what you're looking for in terms of a seat for Layla but the seats on it are very sturdy. You can buy seperate carry cots too. It isn't cheap but ebay have a few 2nd hand that look in great condition.

Here's Jack trying ours out when we bought it a few months ago ... can't wait to use it for real now! x

I love the phil and teds but think the side by side might suit you better. Most of them I found too wide though. The bugaboo donkey I think is the narrowest but its expensive. You can get them on eBay though so worth just keeping am eye on them. Your best bet is to go and try loads out.

Looks good Hun, I think side by side would be best for you tbh, I loved the city jogger but I know h will want the option to see me too (I am his favourite toy) we are going for the bugaboo donkey I think but I know it's pricey!

Tried a bugaboo donkey love it but Layla can't breath in the seat as seat is to shallow and up right, and the phil and ted's seat is to wide crazy how hard it is x

It must be so difficult to find one suitable for Layla! Hope you find one hun!

Mrs N the city select seats can both be front or rear facing or one or the other! It has so many different ways it can go and both LO's can see out because the back seat is so much higher than the front x

Yeah I think it is fab for once they are both in the pushchairs (although I'm sure there will be kicking going on! Lo,!) what I didn't like is that the carry cot would have to go right at the bottom, I have a step up to my front door and I'm worried that the carry cot would get knocked. For me it is between the baby jogger and the donkey! Problem is there are good and bd bits on both, nothing is exactly what I want iykwim?
