getting rid of bottle at bed time???

Dec 30th, 2012, 12:49 PM   #1

Hiya girls
My LO is 13 months old and has a bottle for daytime and bed, she drinks far too much juice and/or milk, especially at night time. To the extent shes wetting through her nappy. I really dont want her to have it anymore.

Was just wondering if any of you had any ideas, other than her crying it out.... Im tired out because shes still waking at night!!

I'm giving her water for bed, sometimes she will fall asleep with bottle in mouth, other times she will have a big drink then takes bottle out and goes to sleep but she is still drinking and wakihg more than I'd like. She doesn't have bottle in day time no more though, x thabkyou for replying x

I'm thinking about this, and Sophia's 2!! It's more the bottle that I'm concerned about, rather than the milk.

My sister was 3 and it was almost Christmas. My mom convinced her that Santa wanted her to throw away her bottles. She ended up putting them all in the trash herself and never asked for a bottle again.

I'm waiting till Sophie's in a toddler bed (about march) and then ill give her a non drip cup in bed with milk in. She's already on cows milk, Im not bothered about the hot drink before bed, more worried about getting her off bottles.
