Hoping for a BFP

Jun 13th, 2018, 08:23 AM   #1

Hi everyone.

I have been feeling so alone during this process. TTC for the first time as a same-sex couple is difficult. We finally found our donor and we were able to do an at home insemination 3 June. When tracking my O, I was shown as positive from Friday (1st June) night. Due to their work schedule, we couldn't go until Sun.

I am now 7 days away from my period due date and I am having cramps but I have been having them every now and again. This is not normal for me at all and I am soooooo nervous because I am truly hoping that we caught my window on time. I feel like I am going crazy.

Welcome! If you got a positive on the Friday, you could've caught it. You can ovulate up to 48hrs after a positive. Good luck

Hi,

Thank you so much. I just feel so alone. I have been searching like CRAZY online and then I came across this site and I am so glad I did. I am truly hoping that I am.

Would I be crazy to test everyday from now on? I decided to get the first response. I am not sure what I am doing to be honest. I am just using the tips from online. I don't know what tests to try or not to try.

I have never been pregnant before so i have no idea what to expect or if my symptoms are in my head. I have been tested in the fertility clinic as we were going that route, so i know everything is ok with me in that area but sheesh, how did everyone else cope.

I am not really sure about the testing thing hun, as I am in the same boat donít no when I should start testing! Also hoping for a bfp this month.
As far as symptoms I convinced myself I was pregnant last month and was feeling all these symptoms but turned out I wasnít. I think around this time we are so overly aware of sensations and feelings in our body that we pick up on, where we may feel these things at different times but not even take notice of them.
Itís difficult not to symptom spot isnít it?

This two week wait is the worst lol. Xx

Hi Love.

Definitely. My partner is asking me for symptoms and I am explaining them, but I have no clue if I am right. Our donor, is so sweet, he listens to my rants lol and tells me to relax and let it happen.

Well, I got my positive on Friday 1 June, and I tested right up until Sunday when we did the at home insemination. Just because we haven't tested before, we got some cheap pregnancy tests and tested but I knew it was way too early when I did it but I just wanted to try it lol. This waiting game is horrible.
